Join The Salvation Army Aged Care in the capacity of HR Business Partner; this is a full time role, based in our Territorial Headquarters in Redfern Sydney.

The role of Human Resources Business Partner provides a range of HR services, strategic and operational, to executive leaders, line managers and employees. This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager - Aged Care, and is supported by a wider team consisting of other HRBPs, HR Coordinators, Talent Acquisition Team, HR Business Advisors, HR Services team, learning and development partners, WHS, Employee Relations and volunteer team.
As an HRBP with Salvos Aged Care, you will be pivotal in delivering fit for purpose people improvement initiatives and programs within your portfolio of aged care centres and nationally.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this autonomous role, you will be able to spread your wings in a true generalist HR function to:
- Provide strategic support to business leaders in making good people decisions across the employee life cycle;
- Build strong teams, serving as a coach and mentor, influencing employee relations and driving a positive culture;
- Coach leaders to effectively and consistently manage and take full accountability for people decisions;
- Provide advice to managers in the resolution of team issues including performance management, grievances, investigations, role changes and remuneration reviews;
- Deliver HR initiatives and programs developed by the CoE in a nationally consistent, timely and effective manner;
- The position will be located in Redfern Sydney
- Some interstate and local travel will be required
ABOUT YOU
You are tertiary qualified in Human Resources or like field and can demonstrate at least 3-5 years Human Resources Generalist experience. Additionally, you will:
- Have an understanding, empathy, appreciation and the ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, able to build credible, trusting and respectful relationships at all levels, and work collaboratively to deliver solutions;
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills;
- Able to effectively and creatively challenge people, situations and current thinking;
- Experience in planning and implementation of organisational change and leading strategic people change initiatives;
- Able to work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines with a results driven approach.
- Ability to think on your feet, solve problems and implement solutions;
- Ability to work under pressure and conflicting priorities
- Strong commercial orientation;
- Multi-site experience and WorkDay HRMS experience is of advantage
