**About the role**

The Design Manager leads a team of designers producing electrical distribution and transmission mains designs that are highly constructable, profitable and meet the needs of customers and certifying authorities in addition to providing insights supporting construction and sales.

**Key accountabilities**
- Coordinate resources to ensure that customer design expectations are met by suitably skilled people in an efficient manner; maximising output and minimising fatigue
- Ensure the commercial success of each project by managing customer and subcontractor contracts directly and through your team, understanding our commercial obligations, maintaining great relationships with our customers and being disciplined in adhering to our commercial controls
- Inspire, coach and mentor our people grow, realise their potential, to support our customers and one another
- Construction support; supporting customers and delivery teams with issues during construction; for example providing solutions related to coordination of utilities
- Prepare and review a variety of complex reports, proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Meet compliance obligations including customer, asset owner, government and other stakeholder polies and regulations are observed

**Required qualifications**
- Post Diploma or Degree in electrical engineering, project management or related discipline
