**About the role**:
The Commissioning Lead will manage the commissioning related aspects across various types of projects within the Ausconnex business. They will also provide technical support to other teams in the business including estimating, engineering, delivery and asset management.
The Commissioning Lead shall have a technical background and be competent in all areas of HV network testing including for primary and secondary systems. Previous experience undertaking hands on related commissioning activities is also desirable, preferable in secondary systems and protection related fields.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Lead the commissioning related activities across substation, BESS and renewable energy infrastructure related projects.
- Ability to engage with various project stakeholders to ensure effective integration of commissioning related scope to wider project requirements.
- Engagement with Ausconnex clients to understand their requirements and develop project specific commissioning implementation plans.
- Lead the planning and execution of the commissioning implementation plan in consultation with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Lead all project stakeholder engagement with commissioning related project representatives including client commissioning team, CxA, EoR etc.
- Work with project delivery teams to establish suite of project specific quality templates in line with client requirements and the commissioning implementation plan.
- Lead and direct as needed on-site trouble shooting with subcontract SME’s during the commissioning and energisation phase of projects.
- Engage with Network Service Providers to understand and execute network connection requirements to ensure project related energisation activities are completed as needed.
- Work with the Ausconnex Asset Manager and other internal stakeholders as to establish the Ausconnex standard commissioning plan for use on assets under ownership during project construction, testing and commissioning phase.
- Assist the engineering team through completion of detailed design reviews for constructability assessment and view to establish detailed commissioning plans.
- Input to develop of subcontract package development and subsequent technical evaluation of tender packs for commissioning related project activities.
- Provide technical support to the estimating team for commissioning related project activities.
- Seek continuous improvement across the full engineering lifecycle by investigating latest developments in the industry and assist Ausconnex with implementing IEC 61850 design standard across full suite of substation, BESS and renewable related projects.
- Prepare and review a variety of technical reports, proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide mentoring through technical development to the Ausconnex Project and Site Engineers.

**Qualifications, Certifications and Licences**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or trade equivalent.
