People and Culture is a corporate area with a strategic focus on workforce planning, talent attraction and retention, safety and wellbeing, cultural capability and diversity, industrial stability and performance, governance, complaints management and organisational development.
The Learning and Development team is responsible for the design and implementation and evaluation of programs including leadership development programs, performance initiatives, Corporate Induction and Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander workforce development programs for executives, managers and staff across the department. The team also supports the Learning Management System (iLearn) and service desk that services 9 other Queensland Government agencies. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with an experienced team on learning opportunities that are targeted, relevant, and well-received, and to contribute your own ideas to those projects you are responsible for.

**The Support Advisor's key responsibilities are**:

- Actively participate and support the coordination of activities to deliver endorsed learning and development programs and initiatives.
- Ensure learning activities are accurately recorded within the department's learning management system in a timely manner.
- Provide regular reports and updates on learning and development activities relevant to the team's schedule of work.
- Provide data on organisationally endorsed learning and development activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and support quality learning and development activities that are appropriate to business needs.
- Develop and maintain various communication channels with staff within the various teams, unit and divisions of the department.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within corporates services and other areas of the department to help identify and deliver organisationally endorsed learning and development activities and resources.
- Support departmental training imperatives such as community recovery, cultural capability and other activities as identified by the Department.
