- We are currently seeking an experienced
- **_Project Administator _**to join the Mining (East) & Power Generation Team based in Newcastle, NSW. This role will see you based on site during outage periods for up to 12-16 weeks at time at different Power Generation sites across the Newcastle / Hunter region.
- As a Project Administrator, you will work collaboratively with the Project Teams to support the timely execution of client claims and billings in accordance with contractual requirements. The position also provides cost administration and control services. Reporting to the Project Finance Lead you will also be responsible for;
- Review, prepare, compile, and submit client claims in line with contractual requirements across projects and ensure claims and invoices are billed as per contractual schedules of fees and within required deadlines
- Generate client invoices as per the claims & billings schedule for contracts
- Review, reconcile and check Accounts Receivables Aging Report against Cash Receipts information received from Treasury and Corporate AR team
- Raise purchase orders in keeping with company policy and procedures
- Ensure all Accounts Payable items are entered and maintained in the system in a timely manner
- Submit employee timesheet for monthly approval
- Input claims information into client systems as required
- Organise and maintain all supporting documentation and correspondence for claims and invoices
- Promote and work with the divisional finance function to ensure uniform quality standards and compliance within the financial and accounting policies and procedures
- You will work with diverse teams and be responsible for creating an environment where great ideas are heard, and everyone looks out for one another.
**Ideally you will have**:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor is advantageous
- Degree or studying a degree towards is desirable
- Solid communication skills with the ability to establish clear lines of control and delegation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to effectively prioritise demands
- Customer focus, team oriented, accountable and results driven
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to be self-sufficient and work autonomously
- Experience with SAP
