The Opportunity

Position yourself at the core of our team, embracing a dynamic and challenging role that thrives in a fast-paced environment. Your pivotal contribution will drive operational success, supporting our daily functions. "Working collaboratively with the Water team, you will coordinate internal processes and administration to enable Job Managers to deliver client projects, including support for project financial management, client reporting, invoicing, and maintaining strong project hygiene and governance.

Located in Newcastle our team fosters a close-knit and collaborative atmosphere. Each day will be varied and provide new challenges and opportunities - overall you can expect to:

  • General project administration support .
  • Governance and secretariat functions including meeting coordination, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Support drafting and formatting reports, proposals, specifications, general correspondence and preparation of presentations.
  • Updating and maintaining project databases, job files, business plans and other documentation.
  • Championing our technical systems for other team members.
  • Organising events and travel.
  • Assisting with on-boarding, resourcing, and organising training and development.

About you

You will enjoy challenging and busy roles, be a forward thinker and an enthusiastic administrator with great communication skills – highly flexible and adaptable with the ability to seek out and follow up on work in a proactive manner. You will be a relationship builder who enjoys connecting across all functions and levels within an organisation. You will be a self-starter with an eye for detail.

You will enjoy getting involved with the team and what they do, and you take an active role in creating the team culture. Most importantly you'll need to be the right fit for the team and our values - with a genuine desire to help out.

Further to this, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working at a consulting firm would be highly regarded
  • Previous experience in accounting and administrative role
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite and accounting/financial management systems. Oracle experience would be highly regarded but not essential
  • A high level of experience in corporate business procedures.
  • A knowledge of accounting principles including receivables, payables and work in progress
  • The ability to identify and implement business and efficiency improvements.
