About the Role
As the Data Officer, you will play a critical role in managing and analysing the school's data systems to support effective decision-making and continuous improvement. This position requires a high level of autonomy, attention to detail, and strategic thinking to provide accurate, relevant, and timely data insights to the school's executive team and leadership.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Utilizing departmental tools such as SORD, QCAA, OneSchool, TrackED, and Microsoft Office to query, analyse, and present data in various formats for school management teams.
- Providing regular and ad hoc reports to assist in strategic planning, performance tracking, and operational improvements.
- Managing and improving data sources to ensure the accuracy and integrity of information used for analysis and reporting.
- Inputting and maintaining accurate records in compliance with Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) requirements.
- Identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement by analysing data and providing actionable insights.
- Collaborating with school management to understand reporting and data analysis needs and ensuring these requirements are met effectively.
- Proficiency in data management systems, including OneSchool and TrackED.
- Familiarity with Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) processes and data requirements.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and translate complex data into actionable insights.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data input, analysis, and reporting.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Previous experience in developing statistical reports, identifying trends, and formulating data-driven strategies in an educational or similar environment.
