Perth, Australia McKenna and Associates Full time

In this role, you will sit within the Legal Support Team of a medium sized WA law firm, located in East Perth, specialising in Commercial Litigation, Property, and Insolvency. It is critical that you have 1 - 2 years’ experience already in legal. You will be in daily communication with 3 Directors and a General Manager, so a good work ethic and can-do attitude is imperative, as you will be working across all practice areas.

You will be required to:

- Liaise with clients and lawyers
- prepare, collate, and amend correspondence and court documents
- proactive diary management
- assist with day-to-day client management
- file management including opening and closing files, prepare retainers and cost documents, electronic and physical filing
- general administrative tasks including e-filing, photocopying, searches, and formatting
- format documents and dictation
- other ad hoc duties as required

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Legal Secretary role
- excellent communication skills with attention to detail
- ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- familiarity with legal documents and terminology
- excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
