**Your new team**
The Equities Portfolio Insights and Strategy team sits within the broader Equities function, which includes Australian Equities, Global Equities and Private Equity. The team is responsible for the construction and management of the overall Equities portfolio, ensuring the portfolio delivers its return, risk, liquidity, and cost objectives through active management. Due to rapid growth of the portfolio, the team is looking to bring on an additional team member to further enhance its capabilities.

**Your new role**
- Monitor risks and exposures of the Equity portfolio and understand the key drivers of risk and return.
- Manage and process data for the risk analytics systems (e.g. MSCI Barra) that the team use.
- Monitor performances of various equity portfolios, work closely with the Investment Performance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of performance and key drivers.
- Generate periodic/ad-hoc reports and analysis on the Equity portfolios’ exposures, risks and performance.
- Assist in writing papers for various committees and governance forums.
- Assist in day-to-day management of the Equities portfolio, including analysis of fund allocation & redemption options.
- Work closely with teams across the broader Investment department to ensure the Equities portfolio is managed and decisions are communicated in the most efficient manner.

**What you’ll need**
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, or a quantitative discipline including mathematics, engineering, or science
- Strong data analysis skills in MS Excel. Programming skills in Python, R or similar would be preferable.
- Experience in analysing and interpreting data. Experience with data visualisation tool (e.g. Tableau) would be preferable.
- Some experience in a similar role or in a fund of fund or investment consulting environment will be preferable, but not a prerequisite
- Team player who demonstrates a desire to continually learn and improve; embraces challenge in an open respectful manner.
