**Your new role**

With strong growth in member assets and overall complexity of the portfolio, it is vital to provide analytics and insights for Australian, International & Private Equity Portfolios for portfolio construction, risk management and oversight purposes.

The purpose of the Analyst, Equity Insights & Strategy role is to assist the Equities Insights and Strategy function with data and analytics on portfolio exposures, performance and risks as well as in developing and implementing the department strategy and day to day management of the Listed Equities portfolios.

Key Duties will include:

- Managing data - data capture, storage, processing and loading in analytics and risk systems (e.g. MSCI Barra).
- Reporting - design and generate periodic and ad-hoc reports in PowerBI and Excel and analysis on portfolio exposures and risks including scenario/ what-if analysis. Maintain and enhance existing reports.
- Monitoring - monitor risk and exposures for the individual and overall equities portfolio using BlackRock Aladdin, MSCI Barra and other portfolio tools and understand the key drivers of risk and return.
- Monitoring - monitor performances of various Equities portfolios and options, work closely with the Performance team to respond to performance related queries.
- Communicating - assist in writing periodic and ah-hoc papers to different internal committees including Equity Mix Group, Head of Equities meeting with CIO, IC etc.
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the International Equities portfolio, including modelling scenarios regarding allocation/ redemption/re-distribution of funds to different portfolios.
- Co-ordination/stakeholder management - work closely with the Exposure Management, Asset Allocation, Portfolio Strategy, Portfolio Compliance and other teams to ensure Equities portfolios are managed and monitored and investment decisions are communicated in the most efficient manner. Enablement - assist with alpha, cost and risk budgeting and forecasting of Listed portfolios. Work closely with Portfolio Compliance, Operations, and other teams in implementing portfolio changes and new strategies.

**What you’ll need**
- Some experience in a fund-of-funds management environment preferred.
- Presentation and data visualization skills - especially in PowerBI.
- Programming skills in Python, R or a similar programming language would be desirable.
- Familiarity and previous experience with Equities risk systems would be advantageous.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics or a quantitative discipline including mathematics, engineering, or science.
- Strong data analysis skills in MS Excel.
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting large volume of data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across the Investments Domain in a team-based environment.
- Excellent attention to detail. Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks.
