We are now seeking an energetic and results-driven Business Development Manager – Conference, Events and Leisure to join our sales team.
About the Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across conference, event, and leisure segments. Your focus will be on building and nurturing key relationships with Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs), Venue Finders, Leisure and Inbound Travel Agents, and other key industry partners.
You'll play a pivotal role in increasing our market share, developing new opportunities, and ensuring our hotels remain the preferred choice for clients and guests alike.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve room night and revenue goals.
- Manage relationships with existing accounts while prospecting and converting new business.
- Identify market trends and opportunities to improve performance and market share.
- Represent Silkari Hotels at trade shows, industry events, and sales missions.
- Collaborate with Hotel Managers, Revenue, and Marketing teams to align sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activity.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a proactive and relationship-focused sales professional who thrives in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
You will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a sales-related role, ideally within the hospitality or tourism sector.
- Strong network within conference, events, or leisure markets.
- Proven ability to develop and convert new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High levels of motivation, resilience, and initiative.
- Tertiary qualification in business, hospitality, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Australian work rights are required for this position.
