The Project Officer (Indigenous Identified) AO4 is a role in which you must be able to:
1. Participate in a team to develop, implement, and continuously improve strategies and systems for the provision of grant funding and other support to First Nations organisations.
2. Provide advice and assistance to staff, other department staff and external stakeholders on grant funding issues under the Queensland Indigenous Land and Sea Ranger Program and Looking After Country Grant Program.
3. Assist in the development of policies and operating procedures relating to management of grant funds and program support for First Nations organisations.
4. Assist Program Managers to represent the Department at forums, and stakeholder engagement events.
5. Prepare briefings, reports, program information and correspondence and answer inquiries on program budget and grant funding issues.
6. Provide general administrative support to the program.
7. Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
