About the Role
The Quality and Education Coordinator reports directly to the Manager Quality and Compliance and is tasked with driving ongoing improvement in the organisation. The focus is on in-person learning and development to oversee LHG's specialised training program.
The goal is to enhance skills, boost motivation, and promote excellence within the workforce. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Quality Team to create and deliver custom training modules based on industry best practices, trends, audit findings, and project needs. The coordinator will also oversee: - Providing guidance on documentation and record-keeping to ensure that care and services meet desired outcomes. Identifying and addressing areas of concern for employees that may require additional training. Oversee the Home Care QPS Benchmarking program including audit completion and submission of data for benchmarking within designated timeframes.
About You
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration or Relevant Quality assurance and training skill base. Sound knowledge base relating to the Aged Care Quality Standards, the Aged Care Act, The Quality Care Principles and Aged Care Quality and Safety review processes.
Knowledge of and experience in Aged Care Quality and Safety review processes and accreditation requirements. Previous experience in education, project management, proven leadership, and effective time management and problem-solving skills. Well-developed interpersonal communication skills - written and verbal. Includes the ability to deal with consumer and staff information confidentially and with sensitivity; presentation techniques and report writing.
Demonstrated ability to implement and evaluate education within a community, aged care, or acute health care setting. The ability to work as part of a team and assist in the development of the team.
Capability to work with mínimal supervision and to work autonomously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Intermediate skills with Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Previous experience in Aged Care Quality and Safety review processes and Auditing will be highly regarded.
