**About the role**
As a Facilities Service Officer, you will be responsible for the day to day support of the hirer, community and staff use of Glen Eira Senior Citizen Centres and other community facilities allocated to seniors' citizens clubs and community groups

Reporting to the Healthy Ageing Officer, you will:

- Service Council meeting rooms allocated to seniors' citizen clubs and community groups
- Ensure equipment is functional and adhering to OH&S guidelines.
- Liaise with the public, event organisers, external users and Council staff
- In the event of an emergency, act as the Fire Warden and help coordinate the organisation's Emergency Management Plan

This position requires you to work on a roster including weekends, evening hours and across a number of facilities within the Municipality.

**About you**
We are looking for an individual who is proactive, efficient and results focused with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.

You must be able to work autonomously and manage your own time in the face of competing demands.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Excellent oral communication skills with hirers, guests and staff
- Knowledge of and ability to trouble shoot audio visual systems and technologies
- Skills in managing time, setting priorities and planning
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety procedures
- Experience in the Service Industry
- A current Victorian Drivers licence
