**About the role**:
As the State Manager (SA) you will lead a professional client facing team whose primary purpose is to deliver exceptional service to our members and nurturing existing employer/member base whilst at the same time identifying and generating new business.
**Some key responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners of Hostplus, including attendance at industry and partner events, conferences and awards programs, as required by the Executive Manager, Client Relationships and Group Executive.
- Retention and growth of an employer/member portfolio through various servicing and engagement activities
- Develop and maintain strong and valued B2B relationships at all levels of seniority within allocated portfolio of clients.
- Development and execution of an annual state business plan.
- Support the Account Manager in the development and execution of individual business plans.
- Completion of quarterly service operational reporting as relates to employer and member service levels.
- Develop opportunities and maintain relationships with prospective employers as well as ensuring the smooth transition of any large new business
- Distribute Hostplus superannuation and related financial products to prospective employers/members.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records within the Hostplus** **CRM system following visits (and key interactions) to key account employers and members in accordance with the AFSL.
- Organisation and delivery of workshop and individual general advice programs for employers/members at their workplace.
- Maintain register of outcome reporting as relates to executed member service initiatives.
- Leadership and motivation of the account management team to achieve state targets and objectives.
**About you**:
- Proven track record of leadership and account management within the superannuation industry
- Experience in motivating, leading, coaching and managing a high performing Account Management team
- A strategic thinker with exceptional time management skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful account management and sales strategies, including the development and growth of strong B2B relationships
- Knowledge of the industrial relations environment and superannuation issues (eg. State/Federal Awards and EBAs)
- Understanding of Hostplus Trust Deed, administration processes and service standards;
- Knowledge necessary to be an Authorised Representative
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team;
- Accomplished networking skills
- Ability to analyse and understand employer and member data and communicate these insights and trends to relevant parties both internally and externally
- Relevant tertiary qualifications(Desirable)
- Must be RG 146 compliant
- DFP Preferable
