Our Water Administration Ministerial Corporation (WAMC) Asset Operations & Management team is currently seeking to appoint an **Project Officer** to coordinate the effective administration of property-related processes, transactions and agreements in relation to land and interests in the name of the Water Administration Ministerial Corporation (WAMC) ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) policies and procedures. The role coordinates the effective administration of asset operation, maintenance, renewal and disposal functions, in accordance with WAMC Asset Management Plan.
The Project Officer - WAMC uses asset management processes, practices and systems to deliver high quality services and drive value from the WAMC’s asset and land portfolio.
A day in this role could involve delivery of projects ranging from asset repairs and the establishment of asset maintenance programs, investigating and resolving property matters and maintaining strong relationship with landholders and delivery partners.
**About You**
To be successful in the role, you will have experience in navigating complex environments of mixed ownership and responsibilities for the operation and maintenance of assets that are widely dispersed across NSW or similar geographical area, including understanding the appropriate level of service, scope and scale required.
You will be self motivated and genuinely interested in keeping abreast of current and emerging best practice, including government policy, while maintaining awareness of service needs and the drivers of satisfaction with operations and maintenance across the agency.
You will have the demonstrated ability to balance operational demands of water infrastructure or similar infrastructure with the need to preserve and enhance environmental outcomes, ensuring that asset management practices support the health of ecosystems and biodiversity, while ensuring effective collaboration and communication among diverse stakeholders to align objectives and achieve desired outcomes.
**Essential requirements**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience in an asset management field.
- A valid NSW Driver Licence and willingness to occasionally travel within NSW which may include overnight stays.
