Our client is a manufacturer of quality poultry products for the Food Service and Retail Markets making all the delicious chicken snacks you know and love

**Based in Mount Kuring-Gai we are currently looking for experienced Quality Assurance Officers to work in a well know poultry processing factory**

Pay rate
**$33 per hour** + any additional loadings.

**Duties will include**:

- Proactively coordinating and implementing QA activities and initiatives, as well as driving quality and food safety through compliance
- Monitor end to end production, packaging & finished product quality, reporting non-conformance and implementing corrective actions
- Product evaluation including temperature, weight, expiry dates, record dates and label verifications as well as general inspection of product to ensure meets product specifications
- Calibration checks of tools and instruments
- Raw material assessments and inspections
- Data Entry using an IPad
- Participation in new product development trials
- Conduct internal audits

**To be considered for this role you must**:

- Have recent experience in a previous QA or QC role - preferably within the food industry (pharmaceutical industry is encouraged also)
- A strong understanding of food safety, HACCP & GMP
- Have excellent verbal and written communication
- Enjoy working within a small team environment
- Be prepared to work in a chiller environment and with raw and poultry
- Not have any birds, pigs or chickens at your place of residence
- Be physically fit with no restrictions
- Own car and driver’s license
