Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to curing childhood cancer. To continue our Marketing & Fundraising success, we are looking for someone special to help grow our partnerships with Trusts and Foundations.

Responsibilities include growing the prospects pipeline, managing relationships to ensure valuable long-term partnerships, identifying the most compelling research proposition for submission, working closely with the researchers to shape proposals and managing the acquittal process.

This exciting role operates at the heart of our organisation, connecting some of our most committed supporters with our dedicated researchers. And works collaboratively with the Head of Engagement and wider major giving and partnerships team.

**Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:

- Develop and implementing a strategic plan for Trust & Foundation engagement.
- Build our value network by identifying and engaging with relevant philanthropic networks.
- Manage relationships by providing meaningful and timely updates, event invitations and lab tours.
- Build strong relationships with the research team and build knowledge of our research projects to enable ideal matching of opportunities with research activity.
- Work collaboratively with the Research Development and partnerships team and UNSW grants office to ensure funding agreements are acquitted effectively and efficiently.
- Managing multiple concurrent timelines to meet grant deadlines.

**Qualifications, experience, and skills required**:
Essential:

- Tertiary qualified in relevant field such as science, communications, business discipline or marketing.
- Experience acquiring and managing major funding relationships, at a senior level with an established network of contacts within Trusts & Foundations sector (or ability to build these).
- Experience managing concurrent multi-stakeholder projects to deadlines.
- Strong business writing skills including experience in Trusts & Foundations grant proposal preparation.
- Proven capability of managing a revenue budget to successfully hit net income targets including the reporting and administration of income received.
