**The Opportunity**

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for managing the accounting and compliance functions for Abt Associates. In addition, the Finance Business Partner will manage two financial accountants (Payroll and Treasury).

**General Responsibilities**:

- Manage the End of Month reporting process and liaise with in country project finance teams to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Ensure all prepayments and accruals are processed as necessary for end of month.
- Ensure compliance with lease accounting under AASB & GAAP.
- Manage 2 direct reports.
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.
- Manage FX exposures and establish appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Calculate income tax positions in accordance with tax effect accounting standards for both historical reporting and forecasts.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
- Liaise with Abt US’s Accounting Team in end of month reviews and as required mid-month, including intercompany transactions.
- Work with other members of the Global Finance Team.
- Oversee the AU & UK group insurance, including input into Abt Global policies.
- Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis as directed.
- Other duties as directed.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- CPA/CA qualifications will be highly-regarded, or 5 years of working experience in finance.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills, aptitude, and flexibility.
- Power BI experience will be a advantage
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills as well as a level of cultural awareness
- Leadership Experience desirable
