About the company

Our client is a long-standing business with a reputation for innovation and growth. With operations across Brisbane's South-West, they are seeking an accomplished finance professional to partner directly with senior leadership and help shape the company's strategic direction.

About the role

This is a senior leadership role overseeing the finance function, leading a small team and providing trusted strategic advice to the executive team. You will ensure strong financial reporting and compliance, drive efficiency through systems and processes, and play a key role in supporting long-term planning and commercial decisions. Lead the finance function, drive strategy, and partner with executives to shape growth in a senior leadership role.

Duties
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, cashflow and audits
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, standards and risk management
  • Drive process improvements and optimise financial systems through digital transformation
  • Provide analysis on business performance, profitability and cost optimisation
  • Prepare and present reports and insights to the board and senior leadership
  • Partner with executives on commercial strategy and investment decisions
  • Lead, coach and develop the finance team to foster accountability and improvement
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Skills & experience
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Economics
  • Professional qualification (CA, CPA, CFA or CMA)
  • Proven leadership experience in senior finance roles
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, compliance and reporting
  • Experience with ERP/financial systems and process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present to boards and non-financial stakeholders
  • Strategic, proactive mindset with strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to influence and partner with executive leadership
