Foh Cafe Manager

Assistant Manager/Location: Mount Gravatt East

Position Overview: We are currently seeking out an amazing person or any expert baristas out here who are looking to step up in to the region of venue management

Our little busy cafe in Mount Gravatt, Deli Dakota is looking for someone to come in as the role of FOH Manager

You will be managing the day to day tasks of running the cafe while learning the specifics of roster management, Cost of goods management and relationship building with the owner of the business.

Think of it as a well paid Apprenticeship and a chance to sharpen your skills before you start your own cafe.

Working hours are 3 week days and two weekend days per week. Roster is flexible.

We don't expect you to work more than that, but we do expect you to be available weekends as that is when we are busiest.

Our hours are from 5.30am - 1.30pm, and we are open 7 days.

No management experience in nessesary, although previous experience will be looked upon favorably.

Previous experience as a high volume, specialty grade barista is an absolute must.

We use a
- La Marzocco Linea PB 3 group
- EK 43 retail grinder
- Malkonig GBW 80s
- Malkonig GBW 65s

We also produce batch brew and cold brew, so you should all be familiar with these different brewing techniques.

**Responsibilities**:

- Making coffee to a consistent and high standard
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the cafe.
- Coordinate stocking and organizing inventory & stock take
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
- Contribute ideas for menu improvements and participate in promotional activities.
- Looking after social media

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in specialty coffee as a barista.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
- Ability to hit targets and financial goals, stay within cost of goods targets.
