About the Role
- To provide operational leadership to the Food Services staff and participate in the provision of a high standard of service by ensuring all established policies, practice guidelines and standards are maintained.
- Conduct, coordinate, oversee and accept responsibility for the day-to-day assembly and distribution activities of the Food Services department. This includes the preparation of the plating line for the assembly and distribution of patient meals, dishwashing, pantry service (ward level), preparing cutlery, mid meal service to patients, preparing imprests for ward distribution and the preparation and distribution of staff function requirements.
- Ensure all assembly and distribution activities are carried out in accordance with established policies, work instructions and standards at all times following dietary and allergy management guidelines, food safety guidelines as well as Workplace Health & Safety guidelines and make suggestions for continuous improvement.
- This position is required to undertake shift work between 5.00 am and 9.00 pm Monday to Sunday with weekend work when required.
