**About Them**

An opportunity exists for an experienced Payroll Manager with a Compensation slant to lead a highly dedicated, friendly Payroll team of 3, at the world's leading global logistics provider supporting the global exchange of goods through land transport, air and ocean freight, logistics and supply chain management.

This opportunity is for a Payroll Manager to elevate the payroll function to the next level, leaning into the Compensation specialty and meshing the two. This is your opportunity to partner with the wider business and drive and own the Compensation piece across the business, as well as the management of Payroll.

**About the Role**

The Payroll Manager is accountable for the payroll management and reporting functions for Australia & New Zealand. This role is responsible for, but not limited to:

- Managing the administration of payroll (weekly and monthly) for 1200 employees 65/35 spilt weekly frontline employees, versus corporate.
- Ensuring payroll compliance with the NES, Fair Work Act and all industrial instruments including Awards and multiple Enterprise Agreements - experience with EA/EBA negotiations is required
- Planning, developing, and implementing policies and auditing procedures to ensure accurate, compliant and timely processing of payroll.
- Compensation administration and analytics - partnering with the HR Team to bring the data to life through comparative past reporting and presenting the findings to highlight issues and improve the business
- HR related Finance reporting
- Administer company superannuation plan including enrolments and distributions in accordance with plan guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, manage & develop the Payroll team.
- Manage and lead Payroll & Compensation projects as required.
- Working with multiple and complex industrial instruments - including EA and EBA negotiations
- Provide timely & proactive advice on payroll, governance, efficiency and compliance related matters

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

- Experience managing a payroll function for a medium to large enterprise.
- Subject matter expertise in Payroll, related Legislation, Compensation practices & HRIS.
- Experience working with multiple and complex industrial instruments
- Highly developed attention to detail.
- Strong analytical & reporting ability, including advanced Excel and Word skills
- Experience (highly regarded) and/or a genuine curiosity and passion with people analytics
- Experience working with multiple and complex industrial instruments - including EA and EBA negotiations
- People leadership skills, including ability to build and motivate a team
- Sound written and oral communication skills
- Ability to build & maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the business
- Experience with Meridian, ConnX and/or SAP (Success Factors) highly advantageous

This role is ideal for a Payroll Manager with experience or a genuine curiosity, passion in Compensation. You will be confident in addressing the Leaders in the business with all Payroll related matters, as well as providing meaningful data analysis, suggesting ways of improvement etc. regarding people data and analytics.
