**About the role**

The role of Commissioning Editor of Factual generates and delivers innovative, engaging, entertaining and award-winning content to SBS television with particular emphasis on the commissioning of programming reflecting Australia’s diverse and multicultural society.

The successful applicant will oversee productions on behalf of SBS to ensure high editorial standards and the quality delivery of great ideas on time and to cost-effective budgets, ensuring value for money content. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues in the content division and with key internal stakeholders to ensure the commissioned content achieves its full potential by reaching the maximum audience at all times.

**About you**

We are looking for a highly creative thinker who has worked on a range of distinctive television and online content. You have worked at a Broadcaster or within the Production community, managing the editorial and financial sensitivities of high profile projects, including developing and managing presenters and talent to produce exciting and high quality content.

To be successful, you have held positions as a Series Producer or Executive Producer either within Factual or Documentary production and have extensive knowledge and experience in the Australian TV industry and landscape.
