Metro Trains currently has an opportunity for an experienced
**Human Factors Manager**
***responsible for governance, oversight and facilitation of continuous improvement in all aspects of Human Factors (HF) on the Sunshine Systems Alliance and will lead the development and delivery of HF integration and assurance activities during all phases of the Project.

This includes the implementation and auditing of processes to manage the HF for MTM in accordance with the Rail Safety National Law.

You will lead the development, review and continuous improvement of Human Factors (HF) and assurance framework and associated management plans on the Project and ensure that Projects staff and contractors have an awareness of the importance of HF and comply with all legal obligations and Metro policies.

This is a unique and exciting role as you will support various projects and gain exposure to multi-disciplinary teams which will enable you to further your experience and develop a long-term career with Metro.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Provide HF Subject Matter Expert (SME) representation, leadership, and support on the Project including HF Assurance Reports and an Issues Register to capture emerging and residual HF risk
- Contribute to the Human Factors Working Group, develop and conduct HF Activities and collaborate on a regular basis to the relevant internal and external stakeholders including the MTM enterprise, Alliance Engineering and assurance and the relevant RPV teams
- Lead teams and mentor staff in support of HF integration and assurance at a Program level ensuring continuous improvement of HF processes
- Prepare complex reports on HF integration and assurance requirements and lessons learned undertaking HF compliance audits.

**About You**
- A tertiary qualification in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in leading and mentoring a team.
- Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to with the ability to negotiate outcomes.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key stakeholders informed
- Strong report writing, analytical ability and critical thinking
