**About the role**

The Principal Human Factors role is responsible for ensuring that RDA’s Human Factors capability is fit for purpose and continuously improved. You would be responsible for training, tools, processes, methods and mentoring your team This includes supporting design and through-life-support activities with advice and assurance to meet contracted human factors requirements.
- As
- **Principal Human Factors, **you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Further development of the RDA Human Engineering capability in accordance with the business needs;
- Create/improve and implement RDA’s Human Factors processes, methods, tools, templates to best practices standards;
- Conduct human factors assurance, analyses, studies, experiments, simulations, tests, and demonstrations and summarise the results into design recommendations and requirements;
- Provide expert advice to design departments for achieving compliance to contractual requirements wrt Human Factors; and
- Develop suitable acceptance test plans and procedures to verify that the human engineering requirements of the Contract have been achieved.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline;
- Substantial proven experience in a Senior Human Factors position;
- Knowledge and proven experience with Human Factors in projects;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance
