Librarian (Weekend & Evenings Coordination)

As Librarian, (Weekend & Evening Coordinator), your duties will include:
- delivering a high quality onsite and state-wide professional library services to a broad client base while meeting State Library's service commitments
- participating in a high performing team within Visitor and Information Services branch, in the delivery of sustainable and supportive services. This includes being responsive to our clients, meeting key service objectives and organisational priorities
- Participating and contributing to the development and delivery of client and staff presentations and training programs as well as the creation of supporting documentation and materials
**As a leader, you will**:
- supervise the delivery of services across State Library on weekends and evenings, byundertaking staffing duties including ensuring rostered staff are present, arranging replacements as required, troubleshooting roster and service delivery issues;
- manage client behavior incidents, feedback and complaints while maintaining a high level of awareness and understanding of key State Library policies and procedures especially those concerning clients. This includes engaging in conversations about difficult client behaviour, supporting colleagues through their interactions with clients, and following procedures and policies throughout;
- liaise with Protective Services Officers and other business units as required to report and/or resolve any incidents or issues that may occur; and
- provide the Visitor and Information Services leadership team with succinct reports on performance and issues arising on a regular basis.
