**What You’ll Do**
- This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Lead water and wastewater operations, ensuring all activities meet Defence and statutory requirements, including Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and environmental legislation.- Oversee the development and review of Drinking Water and Wastewater Management Plans and manage configuration and governance of water operations systems and reporting tools.- Maintain data accuracy across Downer and Defence systems (e.g. GEMS), monitor KPIs, and provide analytical support and technical input for performance reporting.- Develop technical capability within the team, foster a culture of quality and innovation, and lead delivery of specialist water operations expertise.- Manage relationships with Defence Environmental and Water Quality teams, support subcontractor selection, and ensure compliance with PAS standards and water authority requirements.

**What You’ll Bring**- Extensive experience in water and wastewater operations, with strong knowledge of Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, environmental compliance, and water authority regulations.- Degree or Diploma in Water Operations or Engineering, Certificate IV in Water Operations, Project Management Certification (QLD), and valid Water Operator Licences for QLD and NSW.- Must be eligible to obtain and retain Defence Security Clearance and a Defence Common Access Card, with prior experience in Defence estate systems and performance frameworks.- Skilled in CMMS configuration, maintenance planning, and performance data analysis, with proficiency in computer-based systems for scheduling and reporting.- Demonstrated capability in team leadership, stakeholder engagement, contract governance, systems thinking, and performance analysis.
