About the role

As our Technical Manager you will lead a small team of two from our Zetland roastery to:
Align with Allpress Vision and Values, coaching and inspiring the NSW Technical team to achieve our strategy and goals.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our fleet of espresso machinery and coffee equipment both in the field and in our workshop

Work collaboratively with all teams to ensure the best outcome for our wholesale partners and coffee drinkers

Work according to specific targets and goals for service scheduling, call outs, installations, and customer service.

Identify, develop and discuss new ideas for enhancing and adding value to the Technical function

Maintain ongoing knowledge development of coffee equipment, tools, and processes to ensure Allpress provides the best in technical service

Summarise and record findings of work around technical development, developing and maintaining records to share with the global team

Oversee inventory and logistics ensuring across all regions

Encourage and manage the on-going relationship with key equipment suppliers.

Assist and support in appropriate maintenance of Roastery equipment and processes.

About you

You might be a Coffee machine technician looking for the next step in your career, a seasoned Barista with great technical capacity and organizational skills or even an Electrician looking for challenge in a new industry. To nail the role, you’ll have some or all of the below;
Experience leading, supporting, and developing teams

Expert knowledge of espresso machinery

Excellent attention to detail with strong administrative skills

Electrical or mechanical trade knowledge would be highly regarded

A background in coffee as a barista or Technician is also great

A full driver’s license and the ability to be on call weekends (approx. every 5-7 weeks) with some regional travel (split between the wider team)
