**The Role**
Within the Logistics Management function, the APS5 Logistics Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex logistics inventory and asset management within an integrated workforce.

The duties of the Logistics Officer include the following:

- Contribute to various logistics management activities to provide support to subordinate units.
- Participate in the review and development of policies, procedures and processes for logistics management.
- Draft responses to correspondence, briefs and reports on logistics management.
- Understand and clarify logistics policy and legislation for stakeholders.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
- Work collaboratively, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback.
- Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Design solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.
- Undertake and support Tier 1 auditing requirements.

**About our Team**
This role is accountable to have and maintain a well developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks.

The Logistics Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. Interpret and provide advice within the Logistics Management function area based on, policy and procedures. Undertake technical research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessment and perform procedural, clerical and administrative support work to achieve results.

The Logistics Officer will coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members.

The Logistics Officer will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve Melbourne University Regiments' outcomes.
