**Role**

We have supported smaller local producers long before it became “a thing.” In 2006 we opened our “Icons” concept in Adelaide, which has now expanded to become Southern Providore.

We saw that supporting local resonated with the travelling public and continued to grow the number of Icons concepts and expanded the category into other concepts such as “Discover” and to store-in-stores such as The Launceston Store.

Featuring local has been the secret to this expansion success. Be part of the team and help champion our locally sourced products

In this 6-month contract as our **Assistant Category Manager - Local Products, **you will provide critical support for the fast-paced, day-to-day operations in our stores across Australia & New Zealand, as well as supporting the planning and execution of larger new store projects.

There’s no cookie cutter with this role and to be successful you’ll need to be absolutely keen to research and discover who these local small producers are, their amazing products and help tell their stories to the travelling public.

**You'll work across a wide product range including**:

- Gourmet food & confectionery
- Gifts & souvenirs
- On & off premise alcohol
- Apparel merchandise
- Health & beauty products

Y**ou’ll be part of a great team and like most jobs there will be a fair amount of admin involved which is super important to keep the business running, so you will need to have a great eye for detail along with**:

- Ensuring the accuracy and maintenance of product databases
- Running sales reports
- Monitoring stock levels
- Manage queries, including pricing, invoice, and store queries
- Assisting in range optimisation exercises
- Setting up and assisting in ensuring promotions run smoothly

The role would suit a recent graduate who is keen to kick-start their business career or someone looking to move away from the shop floor.
- Intermediate excel skills,
- A can-do customer service mindset to support the store teams
- Great written and verbal communication skills.

You will enjoy juggling competing priorities, demonstrate a high level of initiative, have excellent time management skills.
