Human Factors Manager

The opportunity:
Our Human Factors team in Sydney is growing so we are looking for a Human Factors specialist to join us We are involved in a variety of exciting projects ranging from integrating Human Factors in flagship buildings and infrastructure design to providing behavioural insights for bespoke projects.
In your role:
- Provide Human Factors and Customer Centred Design expertise to support the delivery of a wide range of transport projects;
- Leading the technical delivery of HF work on projects.
- Develop or implement human performance research, investigation, or analysis protocols under the supervision of senior members;
- Experienced in developing key Human Factors deliverables such as management plans, risk registers and technical briefing reports
- Conducting cognitive workload, risk assessments and Task Analysis
- Preparation of reports or presentations summarizing results or conclusions of human factors activities;
- Mentoring and training junior staff in the delivery of Human Factors projects.
- Proactively pursue new external opportunities
- Deliver successful bids and tenders
- Working collaboratively across the MM business to build internal relationships and HF work opportunities
- As an experienced Human Factors professional within a consultancy environment, you’re
comfortable working independently and making commercial choices to meet client needs. It would be preferable if you have experience working in the rail or transport industry. Additionally, you’re able to work within a team, ensuring communication is maintained to deliver to deadlines.
What you will bring to the team:
- Graduated with a qualification in an Ergonomics, Industrial Design, or Psychology related discipline
- Preferably hold an advanced or Post
- Graduate qualifications in Human Factors
- Previous professional experience in Human Factors delivery
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Human Factors process and standards
- Excellent peer review and report writing skills
- Ability to develop successful commercial proposals and tender responses
- Ability to actively contribute to a team of professional staff
- Enthusiastic and agile, with the ability to define methods and scale Human Factors input to project scope
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage different stakeholders and identify end-user needs
- Proven self-starter who can manage their own workload and responsibilities
- Experience in projects that are relevant to the transport industry would be beneficial
