**How will I help?**
The Westpac Economics team is looking for two Economists/Senior Economists (Senior Associate /Associate Director) to assist in delivering a large volume of high-quality data, analytics, reporting and insights on the domestic and global economy to help equip customer’s and bankers to make informed decisions. The roles will involve contributing to the Westpac Economics forecasts, which encompass key variables describing the economic environment, financial market pricing and drivers of Westpac’s balance sheet growth and performance. You will also be responsible for dealing with a wide range of customers and internal stakeholders - at Senior Economist (Associate Director) level, you can expect to be assigned a segment of the Westpac group business to relationship manage Westpac Economics’ engagement and offerings. In addition to this you will:
- Produce, develop and manage regular reports on economic and financial market developments, including daily updates, and other customer-tailored analysis and media coverage in a style suitable for a range of audiences.
- Work closely with the Chief Economist and other team members to deliver timely, market-leading insights and knowledge on the economy and the segments and industries our customers operate in, ensuring that the team retains its reputation for top-quality, independent economic analysis and insights.
- Deliver economic presentations to customers, including internal stakeholders. Help contribute to the reputation of the Bank by developing a strong reputation for economics, including reports, presentations, media presence and analysis.
