**Family Day Care Coordinator/ Educational Leader**

**FAMILY DAY CARE EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL**

We are seeking an experienced, highly energetic, dedicated and dynamic coordinator/educational leader to join our vibrant family day care service team located in Logan Central, Queensland.

You will be self-motivated, committed to quality outcomes for children and have a passion for supports educators to build their skills and capacity. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced family day care coordinator with educational leader experience to progress in their career.

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor
- Current QLD full driver's license
- Reliable car
- Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in Family Day Care or childcare
- First Aid - Asthma training and Anaphylaxis training
- Current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card Check
- English fluency is a must
- Experience working as an educational leader highly desirable

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Lead and support team members and educators in recognising and implementing quality educational program and practice
- Manage day to day operations of the Family Day Care Service
- Building strong partnerships with families
- Support and mentor educators in their provision of education and care
- Organising and delivering professional development to staff and educators
- Recruit and orient highly skilled and motivated educators
- Implement and support an induction program with new educators
- Monitor and assess educators care environments
- Supporting others to embed policy and procedures in everyday practice.
- Produce a quarterly newsletter for families and educators
- Gather and share information relevant to the provision of child care and support families parenting skills.
- Contribute to identifying and planning for improvements (QIP)

**KEY SKILLS**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of time management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle complex and challenging situations diplomatically
- Ability to work positively and constructively within a team
- Responsive to the needs of parents, children and Educators
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- Strong understanding of the EYLF and MTOP
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework
- Possess excellent computer skills and technology
