Procurement Officer

**Deliver end to end procurement support and advice in alignment with Chief Procurement Officer direction, and review and respond to performance metrics to continuously improve and optimise procurement outcomes.
Efficient time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks as demands arise and with competing priorities
Ability to use judgment and discretion with confidential information.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service.
Demonstrated attention to detail in the preparation and review of detailed documentation.
Respect for sensitivity and confidentiality of issues and information handled.
Planning and organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures Experience in financial functions and managing administration functions.
Experience in managing and co-ordinating a wide range of account management functions.
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues.
Experience with the use of financial management systems (SAP would be an advantage).
Effective interpersonal skills as evidenced by the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a range of competing interests.
Demonstrated written communication and research skills including the ability to prepare reports and submissions on complex matters.
There are no mandatory qualifications. However, Procurement Certification Program level 1 or 2 or equivalent as verified by Queensland Government Procurement qualification are desirable.
