**Business Manager**

A national NFP dedicated to educating children for life are looking for a Business Manager to oversee the financial function and other corporate service roles, 3 year contract, part-time, Pyrmont.

**About the organisation**:
Life Ed’s mission is to empower children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education. Their vision is for young Australians living to their full potential, their strategy is to deliver impactful learning experiences in schools, reaching more children through mobile centres, pop-up classrooms, in-class, and online lessons.

**About the Role**:
As the Business Manager, you will manage corporate services functions, collaborating closely with the CEO of Life Ed Australia and CFO of Life Ed NSW. Your responsibilities will include financial management and reporting, risk management, human resource administration, and ICT. You'll also support accounting and financial management for the Life Ed Foundation and other affiliates.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare financial, operating, and management reports in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Work with CEO on implementing strategic direction.
- Develop budgets for key performance sections and consolidated budget.
- Co-ordinate day-to-day accounting and financial management.
- Support the organization and network strategy.
- Build effective communication with partners and stakeholders.
- Manage performance, risk, contracts, legal compliance, and policies.
- Lead ICT services in a small business environment.
- Support line managers with recruitment and performance reviews.
- Manage annual audit.

**Key requirements**:

- CA/CPA Qualification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to generate accurate financial reports.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and relevant tax laws.
- Experience with MYOB, Xero, and payroll platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective manager and team player.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
- Not-for-profit/charity experience preferred.
- Experience within federated organizations.
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check (prior to employment).
