We have an exciting opportunity for a Communication Officer to join our Communication and Customer Experience Team.

Working in our high-performing Destination, Communication and Customer Experience Unit and as a business partner with Council services, your role will be to inform, educate and engage our staff and the Tweed community so they get the most out of Council programs and services.

**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced team player who can use their visual and written communication and storytelling skills to create effective content, in plain language, for a range of audiences in traditional, social and digital channels.

You will be creating engaging and informative content to drive staff engagement and delivers on internal communication priorities.

- a base salary ranging from $1,284.02 per week with competency-based increments up to $1,521.17 per week, plus 10.5% super

**We are seeking**:

- demonstrated and relevant industry experience in a similar role.
- a visual communicators and storyteller, with an ability to write in plain language for different audiences and channels.
- willingness to collaborate, with a flexible approach and work outside of hours on occasions.
- demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate communications plans/projects.
- demonstrated ability to produce innovative and creative promotional and marketing solutions to promote services and programs.
- demonstrated ability in preparing, utilising and evaluating online and web technology.
