**DISTRICT OFFICER**

**This opportunity offers**:

- Temporary employment up to 12 months
- Full time role & 35 hour working week
- Attractive annual salary $90,915 - $100,316 p.a. plus 10.5% superannuation
- Location: Murwillumbah, Far North Coast District (flexible working arrangements considered)
- Ongoing learning and development

The District Officer role provides an opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of activities and projects within the Far North Coast District, made up of 20 Rural Fire Brigades across the three local government areas.

The role supports the smooth running of District activities including being responsive to enquiries, monitoring responses to incidents, managing stakeholder enquiries and works in a timely and effective manner to support the team to protect the community.

Whilst no two days are the same, the role may include:

- Working with other team members to complete various tasks ensuring our volunteers are appropriately trained & equipped
- Undertake various types of inspections in remote areas and report on findings
- Ensure ongoing maintenance on all fleet vehicles
- Assist with infrastructure inspections
- Complete timely reports on issues and concerns
- Other duties as required
- Planning and delivering services that support communities in an emergency services environment
- Providing customer focused outcomes in-line with public sector and organisational objectives
- Working as a supportive team member who contributes to finding solutions for positive outcomes
- Using relevant technology to carry out routine tasks and to maximise efficiencies and effectiveness
- Have experience in working within a volunteer based organisation.
