- SLR has a great opportunity within the Acoustics & Vibration team for an ambitious individual to join our high performing and friendly team in Melbourne. This is a full-time position where you will be working with a well-established team of Acoustics and Vibration Consultants. You will bring passion and knowledge in acoustics as well as broader noise and vibration disciplines (including environmental and transport noise and vibration, as well as building and architectural acoustics).

**Job tasks and responsibilities**
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with support on your technical growth within the wider SLR team.
- You will carry out technical tasks including noise modelling based on suitable modelling algorithms and techniques, along with measurement and monitoring, data processing and analysis of relevant monitoring/modelling results, impact assessment based on relevant legislations and regulatory requirements, mitigation, and control measure investigations.
- Project management of all project stages, including internal/external client liaison, project input data management, execution of technical tasks and report deliverables, ensuring proper quality control and review process in place on each project task.
- Collaborate and manage projects with other personnel within the local, national, and global team of acoustics and vibration and/or other relevant technical disciplines to achieve desirable project outcomes.
- Involve and contribute to other acoustics and vibration projects within the acoustics team, work in the following areas is expected: noise and vibration measurement and monitoring, modelling predictions, numerical analysis of results and associated reporting.

**Skills and experience**
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or completing studies (ideally mechanical engineering or science (physics). Postgraduate qualifications will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, verbal/written communication and technical report writing skills.
- Any experience in noise or vibration measurement and monitoring, data processing and analysis would be looked upon favourably.
