**About the role - Part-Time (0.6 FTE), Contract**

As a trusted advisor to the service delivery teams, the **Funding Officer** will play an important role in ensuring the ongoing sustainability of service programs delivered by Baptist Care SA. Partnering with the operations teams, the Funding Officer is responsible for supporting the business development pipeline of activities by managing tenders and grants activities, guiding the review of opportunities, preparation of responses and due diligence, and subsequent lodgement of proposals for the whole of organisation activities.
- Reporting to the Manager, Business Development & Project Delivery, duties include but are not limited to: _
- Identify, develop and co-ordinate the identification, research, and monitoring of new funding opportunities
- Manage the tender and grants documentation process; creating and maintaining a grants management system, leading the management team with the preparation and process of funding opportunities and coordinate accurate and timely submissions
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, both internal and external as relevant
- Support the development of internal concept proposals to assist in pilots and other program initiatives
- Implement a continuous improvement lens across tender and grants processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of processes
- Identify and manage organisational and departmental risks, alongside Senior Manager, to ensure impacts are understand and mitigated where required

**About you**:

- You will also have the following skills and experience: _
- Tertiary qualification in Social Sciences or appropriate experience in proposal management within a community services environment
- Experience in project management principles and delivery
- Working knowledge of government (State and Federal), organisations and service providers across the community services sector
- An understanding of the community services sector including reform agendas
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with effective problem-solving skills
