Lendlease’s global investment management platform spans Asia, Australia, and the United Kingdom. This opportunity is part of the Lendlease Investment Management Business in Australia focussed on Build to Rent (BTR).

The Deputy Fund Manager is responsible for supporting the BTR Fund Manager in delivering the Fund strategy as well as analysing and implementing investment decisions for their designated fund(s) with the ultimate goal of delivering the Fund’s stated strategy and performance objectives. The Deputy Fund Manager supports the Fund Manager in managing key operational activities for the fund assets,, managing fund reporting, assessing new investment opportunities and directing capital raising initiatives.

Some other key accountabilities of this role include and not limited to:

- Assist in the development and implementation of the Fund strategy.
- Assist with the review and approval of the asset operating plans and budgets.
- Assist the Fund Manager in managing relationships with investors.
- Assist the Fund Manager with development and implementation of the capital management strategy, including capital raisings.
- Assist the Fund Manager in liaising with the Development Manager on the fund assets.
- Assume primary responsibility for liaising with the Property Manager and overseeing the day-to-day management of the fund assets.
- Manage the financial analysis required for investment decisions and fund reporting in conjunction with the Fund Analyst, valuation manager and finance team.
- Oversee process for regular asset valuations and co-ordinate sign-off processes with Fund Manager.
- Preparation of investment recommendations, board reporting, due diligence and other investment analysis.
- Ensure alignment between Property Management, Development Management and Investment Management teams to drive success across the portfolio.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

- Degree in Property Economics, Business or Real Estate
- Valuation License viewed favourable but not essential
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in investment management, asset management and / or development management
- Experience in any of real estate valuation, cash flow analysis, performance calculations, asset management or development management will be highly valued.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator with an ability to drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, driven to ensure investor returns are maximised.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Uncompromising leader in safety.
- Client and outcome focused.
