**Key responsibilities

As Principal Investigator, you will specifically:

- Conduct high level, complex investigations, preliminary enquiries and reviews in relation to allegations of suspected corrupt conduct, as defined under the Crime and Corruption Act 2001, as well as allegations that fall within the scope of the Public Service Commission's (PSC) Conduct and Performance Excellence (CaPE) framework.
- Oversee a team of Senior Investigators in relation to the management of investigations into suspected corrupt conduct and misconduct matters.
- Provide professional, authoritative, and timely strategic advice and support to managers and senior management on issues of a sensitive and complex nature pertaining to instances of corrupt conduct and misconduct within the department, thereby enhancing regions' capacity to deal more effectively with matters.
- Effectively monitor matters that are being dealt with by regions/operational areas to ensure timely resolution.
- Effectively manage public interest disclosures submitted under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 in accordance with legislation, standards and departmental policies and procedures.
- Support the Manager, Ethical Standards Group in partnership with the Queensland Ombudsman to ensure that the department has an effective
management program in place for public interest disclosures and satisfies legislative requirements under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010.
- Actively maintain Ethical Standards Group records, case and file management systems.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all other relevant external stakeholders, such as the Queensland Police Services, the Crime and Corruption Commission, the Queensland Ombudsman and the Public Service Commission.
- Promote and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Prepare briefs and other internal correspondence as required.
- Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
