We are seeking a Team Leader Marketing and Business Communications to join our Strategy and Engagement Division.

- $123,000 - $125,000 plus Superannuation

***The Opportunity**

As the Team Leader Marketing and Business Communications you will be responsible for the development and delivery of customer and community focused initiatives and campaigns to support the organisation’s goals. This role is also responsible for the planning and delivery of an effective internal communications function to support engagement of staff with Hunter Water’s strategic direction, culture and initiatives.

**What you'll do**:

- Manage cross organisational, integrated marketing and communication strategies that support a range of active customer and stakeholder engagement programs, projects, events and resources which enhance Hunter Water’s image and brand, and align with key business and strategic goals.
- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s Internal Communications plan.
- Coach, mentor and guide the Marketing and Business Communications team to deliver strategic objectives and ensure integration across the wider Communications and Engagement team.
- Develop, execute, support and deliver strategic marketing programs that achieve the set target and results with the identified stakeholders and make a difference.
- Manage and deliver Hunter Water’s Partnership and Events program, including the Love Water Grants program, and identify and evaluate corporate sponsorship and partnership opportunities that leverage and enhance Hunter Water’s brand and its messages.

**What you'll need to be successful**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a related discipline with demonstrated experience.
- Proven relationship management skills and the ability to influence at senior levels.
- People leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to build and develop high performing teams.
- Knowledge and experience in managing strategic marketing and communications which reach target audiences and achieve objectives.
- Experience in engaging with external agencies and building and maintaining stakeholder networks within the wider community including business and community organisations.
- Event management, planning and risk management.
- Demonstrated project management skills including budget, risk management and reporting, and with the ability to manage a diverse range of conflicting priorities whilst delivering on key milestones and meeting deadlines.

***Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience integrating and coordinating positive PR internal and external opportunities in relation to marketing campaign messages.
- Experience working within a State-Owned Corporation.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater equipment, system and processes.
