GHD has an exciting leadership opportunity in our Northern NSW operations for the position of an Environment Market Leader (Northern NSW),. This is a key leadership role working within an energetic and committed team of multidisciplinary professionals to build meaningful client relationships to sustain and grow the Environment market of GHD across Northern New South Wales, spanning from the Hawkesbury River to the Queensland border.

Working with the Regional Market Leader, you will focus on developing business opportunities, building, and strengthening our Environment business through the delivery of projects, technical leadership, coaching and mentoring our people whilst offering innovative solutions for our internal, existing and new clients.

Working on a diverse range of projects within the Environment sector, you will:

- Provide the vision and direction for the Environment Market Sector in accordance with our Australian Market Strategy
- Lead proactive Business Development and Client focused activities as you maintain strong relationships, monitor the market for new opportunities and maintain a growth focus to maximise our success
- Lead market activities, collaborating with senior management across the Australia/Pacific Region,
- Provide technical leadership to contribute in the successful delivery of projects.
- Coach and mentor staff to increase business development capability and client connectivity
- Ensure ongoing success in relation to key metrics and desired business goals, including financial performance and other market deliverables

What you'll bring to the role:

- Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in environmental planning, engineering, remediation, environmental sciences (or related disciplines)
- Recognised experience in the NSW Environment sector (private or public), ideally in areas such as ecology, environmental assessment, planning, mine closure, natural resources management, sustainability, contaminated lands or waste services
- Success in winning business and growing related project portfolios, ideally within the NSW infrastructure market and / or broader Australian sectors
- A strong network of contacts and clients

The successful applicant can be based in any of our Northern NSW offices, specifically Central Coast, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth and Orange, however being based in Newcastle is preferred and highly desirable. Relocation support will be considered.
