**The Allied Health Assistant (part-time, 0.8 EFT)** works collaboratively within an interdisciplinary framework to facilitate effective allied health service delivery across the disciplines found in both the Ageing Well Service and Child Health and Development teams. This includes OT, physiotherapy, dietetics, podiatry and speech pathology.

**Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Provide assistance to clinicians in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic services with a focus on group activities.
- When deemed to be within the AHA’s scope of service, conduct home or community visits.
- Assist the Intake team to ensure efficient service access.

**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**

**Essential qualifications, attributes and skills include, but are not limited to**:

- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications Cert IV or IV in Allied health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Experience providing allied health services in individual, group and consultative models
- Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities and interpreters.
- Demonstrated understanding of consumer directed care, and improving consumer experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience writing reports and capturing data.
- Strong problem solving capabilities
- Open and inclusive interpersonal and communication style
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable and able to use initiative and work autonomously.
- Effective time management skills
