With a rich history in Australia, this organisation is made up of a number of entities focused within the resource sector that brings a certain level of complexity and diversification to the group. Due to increasing workload, they are looking to hire a Purchasing Officer on a 3-month temporary contract, based in Brisbane CBD.

**The Role**

Reporting into the Contracts & Procurement Superintendent, this Purchasing Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing of goods and services required on-site.

Key responsibilities include:

- Raising purchase orders through SAP
- Obtaining quotes and liaising with suppliers on supply of goods
- Monitor and expedite orders
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy
- Cross check invoices match with purchase orders before forwarding to Accounts Payable
- Procurement administration and data entry

This position is ideal for someone immediately available, enjoys working within a fast-paced, high-volume environment and great communication skills. You will have seen success within your previous positions because of your strong attention to detail skills as well as your ability to follow process and accurately record information. This position is ideal for a team player with good relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated experience within a Purchasing position
- Resources or heavy industry experience is highly desirable
- SAP expereince is required to be selected for this position
- Strong Microsoft excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
