**How will I help?**
The purpose of your role will be to develop and execute strategic and innovative category solutions. Your role is required to build on external partnerships to deliver sustainable value whilst collaborating with internal business partners to deliver. Proven experience in delivering complex projects and managing multiple cross functional stakeholders will help you succeed in this role.
You will support our Executive Category Manager across our Technology Infrastructure category.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage a pipeline of procurement initiatives such as contract renewals, new procurement requests and tenders
- Establish sourcing strategies, standards, methods, and good practices that ensure compliance with legislation, regulation, and third-party information security.
- Proactively take accountability for categories of spend in telecommunications, networking, and end user computing including all commodities / services included with the category, contracts and sourcing activities and partner relationships associated with the category
- Research and understand external market to provide key insights, collaborate with internal business partners to develop requirements and identify opportunities for cost savings, improved process efficiency and demand management
- Conduct and lead sourcing processes and direct negotiations
- Develop strong internal relationships with stakeholders to influence procurement strategy
- Build on external partnerships creating long term strategic relationships
- Deliver sustainable commercial, financial and risk benefits to the Group

**What do I need?**
- An understanding of supply contracts and experience drafting or reviewing contracts from either a supplier or customer perspective.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse and draw conclusions from data.
- An understanding of technology and how this is utilised by organisations like Westpac to deliver services to staff and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to form relationships with internal business stakeholders and suppliers.
- Experience negotiating outcomes either working for a supplier or end customer like Westpac.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Procurement experience across technology (desirable)
- A can-do attitude and willingness to further develop your procurement skills
