The Supervision Approach & Systems (SAS) unit plays an integral role supporting the delivery of APRA’s corporate strategy to ‘protect today, prepare for tomorrow’. SAS enables excellence in supervision outcomes through development of APRA's supervision model, uplifting supervision capability and driving quality and consistency in how APRA supervises.
APRA is seeking an experienced Business Process Improvement Professional to support the significant programme of work for the Methodologies, Systems & Reporting team. Reporting into the Head of Methodologies, Systems and Reporting, this is a permanent opportunity driving and steering improvements in business processes across the SAS portfolio. In this role you will:
- Facilitate process design workshops with varied stakeholders;
- Identify gaps and analyse process performance to drive end-to-end business and process improvement across areas of SAS’s remit;
- Work effectively with key stakeholders in all areas of the business to drive outcomes and decisions;
- Design process maps and document business process;
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of the supervisory framework and guidance;
- Contribute more broadly to the sound running of SAS, providing support to SAS Leadership Team for effective and efficient delivery against the SAS strategy.
- Experience working in a similar role, preferably within the banking and finance industry;
- Practical experience and knowledge of process improvement including confidently eliciting, analysing, and interpreting business issues and requirements and translating these into appropriate solutions;
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills and a highly professional approach;
- Excellent relationships management and influencing skills across all stakeholder levels;
- Strong strategic and problem-solving skills and track record of providing effective solutions.
Key relationships will be partnerships with Senior and General Managers, SMEs, Project and Business teams.
