The Policy and Legislation Team has been recently established to support the significant work of the Digital Health Branch in delivering the Government’s digital health objectives under the recent Budget.

This team will lead and manage a significant legislative change program to enable the policy and technical projects that will see the safe and secure sharing of patients’ information to improve the provision of healthcare and support the overall efficiency of the healthcare system.

You may work on or across the following areas:

- Implementing the recommendations from the Statutory Review of the My Health Record Act 2012 and further reviews of legislative instruments, including to support the modernisation of the My Health Record system.
- Supporting the ongoing status of the Australian Digital Health Agency through a review of its establishing legislation.
- Supporting the connected care agenda through policy and/or legislative change work relating to the healthcare identifiers framework to promote use of a single national identifier.
