**About the Department of Education**:

**Your Role**:
This Program Officer role is responsible for providing support to Queensland's involvement in the national roll out of the Australian Early Development Census and other initiatives aimed at creating high quality early childhood programs, with a focus on kindergarten.
Located in Brisbane City as part of the Early Learning Programs and Improvement team, the program officer reports to the Manager Early Learning Programs and Improvement, Early Childhood (the Queensland AEDC State Coordinator).

**Responsibilities include**:
**As Program Officer, you will**:

- Develop communication strategies and resources to support the use of the Australian Early Development Census by governments, schools, early childhood education and care services and community organisations.
- Provide high level customer service to clients and stakeholders to support the implementation of early learning related projects and programs across the state.
- Prepare and draft correspondence, briefings and reports on program related matters to support the efficient and effective delivery of team objectives, timeframes and functions.

About You

**The ideal applicant will**:

- Have strong written communication skills
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail, and effective skills in prioritising competing deliverables.
- Possess an understanding of and/or experience with the Australian Early Development Census
